Senior executives of Bluegr Hotels & Resorts from Crete and Athens attended the Best Workplaces™ Hellas 2026 awards ceremony on Monday, 15 June, where the company achieved a remarkable distinction: second place both in the Best Workplaces™ Hellas 2026 and the Best Workplaces™ for Women Hellas 2026 rankings. The recognition, based on the evaluation of more than 600 employees, marks the fourth and third consecutive year respectively that Bluegr secures a leading position, reaffirming its status as an employer of choice and the only hotel group in Greece ranked in the top ten of the large‑enterprise category. The awards were received by Agapi Strataki, F&B Manager and Culture Ambassador of Minos Palace Resort, and Giorgos Narliotis, F&B Manager and Culture Ambassador of Candia Park Village.
Headquartered in Crete, Bluegr Hotels & Resorts continues to invest in its people through initiatives that strengthen professional development, recognition and overall employee experience. In 2025, the company introduced Excellence and Productivity Bonuses for all hotel employees, while recording a 20% increase in talent attraction and an impressive 92% employee retention rate. Eight out of ten employees come from Crete, and half of all leadership positions are held by women – clear indicators of the company’s commitment to local communities and equal representation.
The findings of the Great Place to Work® survey further reinforce this positive picture. Overall employee satisfaction reached 87%, with 96% stating they have clarity regarding their roles and expectations, and 90% recognising that their work contributes meaningfully to the company’s goals. An equally significant 96% consider Bluegr a socially responsible organisation. Within the framework of the company’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Policy and the B_U initiative, 92% of employees report experiencing a fair and inclusive working environment.
One of the group’s most strategic investments in Crete is PHAROS, a centralised hub for procurement and resource management serving all Bluegr hotels on the island. The facility brings together the reception, quality control, storage and distribution of goods and materials, ensuring consistency, stability and efficiency across the entire supply chain. PHAROS also includes modern workspaces, training areas and fully equipped accommodation for employees, enhancing both operational performance and daily life for the group’s workforce. The €5 million investment significantly strengthens the operational backbone of Bluegr and stands as a model of integrated resource management in the hospitality sector.
For more than four decades, Bluegr Hotels & Resorts has been a leading ambassador of excellence and sustainable development, combining exceptional locations, high‑quality services and authentic hospitality experiences. With luxury hotels in Crete -Minos Beach Art Hotel, a member of Design Hotels and Marriott Bonvoy, Minos Palace Resort and Candia Park Village- and in Athens with the boutique Life Gallery Athens Hotel, the group has earned major international distinctions, including Great Place to Work® certification and the EFQM Global Excellence Award (6 Diamonds).
