Global Tourism Dialogue Returns to Crete

The Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) is strengthening its international footprint as it welcomes the 13th Sino European International Tourism Conference – “Island & Coastal Tourism Futures 2026” (ICTF 2026) to its Heraklion campus from 21 to 23 September 2026. The conference brings together more than one hundred researchers, academics, industry experts and institutional representatives from fifteen countries, positioning Crete at the center of the global dialogue on the future of island and coastal tourism.
Organized by HMU’s Department of Business Administration and Tourism in collaboration with Ningbo University in China, the University of Angers in France and the Tourism Geography Committee of the Geographical Society of China, ICTF 2026 reflects the university’s expanding international partnerships and its growing role as a bridge between European and Asian academic communities.
