
New Rector of the Technical University of Crete

Professor Konstantinos-Alketas Ouggrinis of the School of Architecture has been elected as the new Rector of the Technical University of Crete, during the rectoral election process, in which the members of the newly elected University Gonerning Council participated. The election was conducted by secret electronic ballot on Friday, June 12, 2026.
The new Rectorate of the Technical University of Crete, serving a four-year term from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2030, forms as follows:
Professor Konstantinos-Alketas Ouggrinis (School of Architecture) – Rector
Professor Danae Venieri (School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering) – Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Lifelong Learning and Outreach
Professor Georgios Arampatzis (School of Production Engineering and Management) – Vice Rector of Finance, Technical Affairs and Development
Professor Panagiotis Partsinevelos (School of Mineral Resources Engineering) – Vice Rector of Research and Innovation
